*Overview:*
As a Payment Specialist at World Classrooms, you will be a crucial part of our financial operations team, ensuring accurate and timely payment processing for our educational travel programs.
*Key Responsibilities:*
The payment specialist will post, balance, research traveler account payments for accounts receivable.
Responsible for completing traveler cancellations across all systems.
Auditing and categorizing credit card transactions
Complete administrative duties for the Finance team.
All other duties as assigned by World Classrooms leadership.
*Reporting Structure:*
The Payment Specialist reports to the VP of Finance and Human Resources at our Aberdeen HQ.
The VP Finance & Human Relations supports the Payment Specialist in all areas through routine daily communications.
*Work Environment:*
This position is based in our Aberdeen office, offering a clean and organized workspace.
The role follows a standard Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule
*Strengths/Skills:*
* Must possess the required level of skills and abilities to read, write, speak, and apply mathematical concepts and sound reasoning to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job.
* Must be able to perform basic operations on a computer within the Windows operating system.
* This position requires problem solving skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to multi-task.
* Must possess great attention to detail and solid organizational skills.
* Manages time and priorities effectively.
* Works well in a team environment.
*Requirements (any of the following):*
* Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business related field.
* Demonstrated experience with computerized accounting, payroll, and reporting systems, and software applications such as Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite

*Performance Evaluation:*

Performance evaluations are held mid-August and mid-December each year.
