Job Title: Grant Administrator
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer-Trainee
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for analyzing, monitoring and evaluating fiscal local, federal and state grant activities.
This includes expenditure tracking and monitoring, preparation and analysis of Tribal, State, and Federal reports and statements.
The Grant Administrator will work closely with Program Managers, Bookkeepers, and Budget Office coordinating all related grant requirements and maintain Tribal records for all grants.
The Grant Administrator is responsible for the Schedule of Federal Financial Assistance report as required by external auditors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain, and implement appropriate recording of all financial transactions related to Tribal and Federal grant contracting compliance and audit requirements.
Analyzed grant awards noting special conditions, match rates and requirements, ensure accounting system properly records grants.
Assist with preparing and executing monthly, quarterly and annual closing grant reports.
Help perform grant reconciliations and completes the drawdown requests for financial reimbursements and advances.
Analyzes grant allotment/expenditure/revenues and notifies program staff of significant variances as needed to meet compliance and/or amendments needed.
Provides technical assistance to program managers and staff with grant applications and reporting requirements.
Conducts monthly reviews of revenue to assure revenue is in agreement with both projected revenues and expenditures to date.
Serves as fiscal point of contact for granting agencies and external auditors.
Assures compliance of all Tribal, State and Federal funding requirements and policies.
Will create a secure data bank of all SWO grants and grant documents that will align with our record retention policy.

Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license
Ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality
Must be reliable, dependable, professional, and punctual at all times.
Knowledge and ability to draft memos, letters or other correspondence related to tribal fiscal functions.
Must be able to work within a stressful environment and meet deadlines.
Must be able to pass a background check
Education and/or Experience:
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance Required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance Preferred
Two or more years working with grant awards and/or tribal fund accounting
Knowledge of OMB Circulars, Federal, State, Local grants
Experience working in Office Word, Excel and various related software programs with the ability to navigate through various websites and granting portals.
