Job Description: Position Overview: This position will provide rapid on-demand, linguistically and culturally appropriate, onsite support in English and site dominant languages to job candidates (Karen), new team members who enter our candidate process or join the organization as a team member, and current team members throughout the organization.
This position will also be responsible for other duties as needed.
Responsibilities: Providing clear and exact translation interpretations of verbal communication and written materials.
Providing interpretations of questions, answers, statements, explanations, and other forms of verbal communication.
Sight translations of documents and other written materials.
Understands and analyzes what is being said or written, and effectively and accurately translates the message, intent, and nuances being communicated.
Reproduces statements or questions in the desired output language.
Gathers, develops, and maintains lists of terminology and information that may be used in technical translations Protects the confidentiality of information, adheres Terex Way Values and ethical standards.
Perform a level of administrative tasks to support the Operations, HSE, HR and Materials teams Performs other related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications GED or High School Diploma Demonstrated Fluency in Karen 2+ years of experience work or volunteer experience with guiding/training members of a workforce or community where language may create barriers 2+ years work or volunteer experience using the language of Karen to interpret and translate information or processes.
Preferred Qualifications: Excellent listening skills and auditory recall to remember spoken words and to accurately reproduce them in the desired language.
Strong computer skills and experience with MS Office: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word Ability to appropriately understand and respond to culturally sensitive situations, perspectives, and phrases.
Ability to work well under pressure and in intense situations.
Specific Competencies: Strong interpersonal skills to connect with people of all backgrounds, including English and other dominant workforce languages.
Ability to navigate challenging situations in a calm, fair, but effective and professional manner Strong organization skills, demonstrated through ability to prioritize work, track completion of projects, seek feedback, and meet deadlines.
Ability to navigate large and complex facilities and organizations to locate individual team members, conduct quick conversations with them, and respond with necessary information and guidance they need.
Acts with and role models integrity, professionalism, dependability, and self-awareness.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality relative to Human Resources, Financial data and company policies and procedures.
The salary range for this position is $23.
08 to $27.
70 an hour.
