The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for the organization, storage and distribution of goods.
They ensure inventory accuracy and coordinate shipping procedures along with ensuring that all products are moved from the storage area to the retail point in a safe and timely manner.
This position is responsible for handling record keeping activities of the warehouse and ensuring that every warehouse employee follows predefined security and safety procedures effectively.
The Warehouse Lead ensures physical inventory procedures are completed on time.
Daytime hours and some Saturdays required.
Duties and Essential Job Functions
Receive, transfer and store incoming freight from transfer trucks and inbound carriers.
Work with the store manager to schedule warehouse employees for all shifts and areas of need.
Cover shifts as necessary to maintain coverage.
Communicate directly with Distribution Center manager, Warehouse Leads and Customer Service Manager to ensure efficient transfer of stock and sold items between locations.
Ensure all transfers are prepared and ready to transfer on the scheduled transfer truck.
Communicate with merchandising managers and staff to coordinate proper scheduling of warehouse staff for merchandising processes.
Unbox, assemble, label, move and transfer items to display floor at direction of merchandising team.
Perform inventory procedures on schedule, communicate and help correct any variances.
Monitor Returns, transfer and communicate and any variances.
Send daily emails reporting deliveries and pickups.
Motivate, organize and promote teamwork within the workforce.
Understand, educate, implement and enforce company policies within the warehouse.
Operate order pickers, lift trucks and carpet measuring machines.
Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment.
Resolve conflicts and provide documentation when required.
Must be able to work some Saturdays as scheduled with the store manager.
Must be able to cover shifts in the absence of other employees within the warehouse.
Must be willing to work some special events outside normally scheduled hours.
Qualifications
Past work experience: 2 Years Previous Warehouse experience.
Direct supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge of Inventory Management software/ MS Office suite experience a plus.
Physical Requirements
The ability to lift, carry and maneuver up to 75 pounds
Stand or sit for extended periods of time.
